A dose of my own medicine

I’ve been talking up the benefits of blogging for years now. And, while I’ve maintained a personal blog on MySpace, I have only talked about keeping one for professional promotion. Well, that changes today.

I’ve decided I’m going to spill the beans on everything I know about the business and techniques of Web development. I’m not going to start with a custom design for my blog, because I want to demonstrate how a website grows from nothing into something. I’ll take screen captures of this site as it moves through its evolution from the default WordPress theme into a branded online presence. Each time I update the site, I’ll post about it under “site evolution”.

My goal with this site is to create an information resource that is of value to other developers, curious people, and my clients with the hopes of promoting myself, making friends, and giving back to the community that first gave to me.
