What would you like to see from Advanced Operators?
For almost a couple of months now I’ve been posting weekly questions on Advanced Operators about the web development industry. I’m a bit of a heady geek, so sometimes the topics that are of interest to me are a little esoteric or just too meaty for more popular discussion. At the same time, I don’t want to start conversations that rehash subjects or only provoke surface level interaction. My goal is to start conversations on Advanced Operators and drive the traffic to finish them on the respondents’ blogs. I’d also to see that the conversation is centered around a topic that leaves everyone a little more informed about their industry.
So far, the most successful topics have been:
Diggles had the idea of doing smaller topics—like polls and such. The by product of the AdvOp project is traffic to your site and knowledge for everyone, so my question to y’all is, What would you like to see from Advanced Operators? I’m particularly interested in suggestions for topics and ways to facilitate discussion, which should happen on the blogs of those who participate.
How about new topics posted on a Thursday or Friday?
When it’s Monday, I sometimes don’t see it until the evening, and then have a hard time getting to it the next day.
As for topics, I can’t quite say which ones will click with me. I think I make sure that the post will seamlessly blend with what I normally write about.
